Assalamu ‘alaykum,
At The Halaqah, we are expecting to conduct as seekers of sacred knowledge, more so learners of the noble Book of Allah, the Qur’an. That’s what makes the Halaqah The Halaqah!
While we will be learning from the comfort of our homes, virtually, our basic principles in learning as Muslims should always prevail. whether we are online or offline.
The following are some points to serve as guides and references for both the learner and the teacher.
- We are doing this for Allah. To attain His pleasure. Not to entertain anyone nor to prove anyone right or wrong.
- Anything we do for Allah must be done with perfection. Thus we aim for excellence. So please come prepared, rehearsed or memorized.
- We are in a race with no one, but ourselves. Each one of us is in a unique race with the one he was yesterday to be the best of himself tomorrow.
- While we seek inspiration from one another and support one another as a community, we don’t compare ourselves (achievements and natural gifts) with one another. So please focus on your progress.
- It doesn’t matter how long it’s going to take you master what you’ve just started. It rather matters that you’re doing your best and you give it your best at all times.
- As much as we put in our best, we also put our trust in Him, to guide us, enlighten us, inspire us, bless us and accept from us.
May Allah continue to purify our intentions, pardon our wrongdoings and accept the righteous ones.
