After the learner of the Qur’an has mastered reading the Qur’an from the book, the Tahfiz category comes in to guide him towards memorizing it, if he so wishes, and has a strong desire to do so.
A student who wants to embark on his Tahfiz journey at The Halaqah must have, first completed at least the first three levels under the Talaqqi category.
Once he starts with the Tahfiz programme, he will progress depending on his commitment and progress.
There are six levels under the Tahfiz category:
- Qur’an Explorers
- Qur’an Enthusiasts
- Qur’an Determined
- Qur’an Achievers
- Qur’an Scorers
- Qur’an Flyers
Level I: Qur’an Explorers
At the Qur’an Explorers level, the student will memorize Juz’ ‘Amma, the most frequently read part in the Qur’an.
Successfully undertaking this level will boost your confidence, as an Imam for your family at home, or elsewhere.

Level II: Qur’an Enthusiast
After you successfully attain The Qur’an Explorers level, chances are high; that you can’t live without the Qur’an any longer. Thus, you want to move up to the next level.
This level will guide you to memorize the last quarter of the Qur’an. That’s Juz’ #29 up to Juz’ #26. In addition to Juz’ #30 which you’ve already undertaken at the Explorers’ level.
Level III: Qur’an Determined
This level will see you start from Al-Fatihah, down to the end of Surah al-An’am.
Level IV: Qur’an Achievers
This level will take you through from al-A’rāf, down to the end of Surah al-Kahf.
Level V: Qur’an Scorers
At this level, you’ll continue your memorization from Surah Maryam down to the end of Surah al-Qasas.
Level VI: Qur’an Flyers
At this level, you’ll take your final lap. That’s from Surah al-‘Ankabut to the end of Surah al-Jathiyah.

Please note that the student of The Halaqah is assessed after his completion of each level.
