Baba Salam is the pen name of Abdul-Salam Abdul-Hameed. He was born in Ghana in 1983, where he attained his elementary and secondary education.

Baba Salam has written How to Memorize the Qur’an in 10 Years Regardless of Age and Profession. He’s also the author of Reviving The Spirit of Ramaḍān and Getting Closer to Him by the Day: 101 Du’a’s You Can’t Go Without.
In his journey of knowledge-seeking, Baba Salam has travelled to Tunisia, Syria, Singapore and Malaysia. His Qur’an memorization took place in Tunisia. His first Degree which was in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies was awarded by the Damascus campus of Islamic Call College (كلية الدعوة الإسلامية) at Shaikh Ahmad Kuftaro Complex (Abū al-Nūr). Also, in Damascus, he was honoured with ‘Sanad’ (linkage) to the Prophet ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam, when he successfully, separately, recited the entire Qur’an (khatmah) before Shaikh Maher Al-Munajjid and Shaikh Muhammad Al-Kull (Riwāyah of Ḥafṣ), both of whom were certified and given Ijazah by the late Shaikh Muhammad Ṭāhā Sukkar.
Baba Salam has attained his Master’s Degree at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), with specialization in Educational Technology.
Baba Salam has taught Qur’an, Arabic Language and Islamic Studies in various Islamic schools in Singapore and Malaysia.
